Supporting your motherhood journey

Melanie is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  She has over 12 years of experience in prenatal, birth, postpartum and women's health care. During that time,  she cared for newborns and moms together (couplet care) for the first month of life which included postpartum care, intensive breastfeeding support and tongue-tie evaluation. Melanie graduated in May 2022 with an expanded role in pediatrics and is now a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has also taken additional training in tongue and lip-tie evaluation and laser treatment. Melanie has cared for mothers and babies for the past 4 years and is retiring. She is looking for the next provider to continue this amazing work.  

From her experience as a midwife, Melanie witnessed the struggles parents go through after birth and adjusting to parenthood. She also saw how prenatal education on childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care helped them be better prepared for success. Support from their midwife and family made all the difference in the world in breastfeeding success and becoming confident parents. She is passionate about expanding that empowering care after pregnancy and continuing along the motherhood journey.
